Rishyan Raaj read law at Aberystwyth University, Wales and graduated with Honours in 2018. He obtained his Certificate of Legal Practice (CLP) from the Legal Profession Qualifying Board in 2023. He completed his pupilage at Messrs Preakas & Partners under the tutelage of Mr. Preakas Sampunathan in 2024 and was admitted as an Advocate & Solicitor of the High Court of Malaya in 2025. He was subsequently retained as a Legal Associate at Messrs Preakas & Partners. Rishyan has assisted in trials and hearings at all levels of the Malaysian courts, and is involved in a broad range of contentious and advisory matters.
